Squamous cell carcinoma with metastasis to the Parotid gland. Case report

Squamous cell carcinoma is a malignant neoplasm of the lining of the oral cavity, and it is considered the one with the highest incidence and frequency. We present the case of a 78-year-old male patient, white skin color, with a history of basal cell carcinoma in the facial regions, and prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation, who developed a squamous cell carcinoma in the left frontal region with moderately metastases. differentiated in parotid region. The diagnosis was confirmed by fine needle aspiration biopsy and surgical treatment was used as a therapeutic option. Squamous cell carcinoma ranks second in frequency among malignant cutaneous neoplasms in the world. Given its clinical suspicion, all necessary precautions must be taken to corroborate the diagnosis and impose the appropriate treatment quickly, in order to reduce mortality and avoid the compromise of other organs.
