Keywords:
telómero, telomerasa, ciclo celular, telomere, telomerase, cellular cycleAbstract
ABSTRACT
Recently, the behavior of these enzymes has been studied in cancerous cells and its diagnostic and therapeutic possible applications. With the objective of characterizing the structure, the action mechanism and the regulation of the telomerases as well as their potentialities in the treatment of the proliferative illnesses, a bibliographical consultation of 41 scientific articles was developed. telomerases participate in the immortality of the cancerous cells and they constitute an alternative in the development of therapies guided toward the treatment of proliferative cellular pathologies, what justifies the necessity to make a call to the scientific world community so that it recaptures this important investigation field
